Editorial standards
Supper Daily follows the standards shared by every LetterHouseMedia publication. This page explains them for our recipe newsletter. The full LetterHouseMedia editorial standards are the source of truth if the two differ.
Clear recipes
Our planned format is one weeknight dinner recipe per issue, with a clear ingredient list, honest timings and the complete method on the web. The details belong alongside the recipe, where you can read them before deciding what to cook.
Sources and checks
Sources are fetched and saved during research. Factual claims are checked against those saved copies, rather than a model’s memory. Quotes must match their source exactly. Content farms, known fabricators and AI-spam sites are blocked and never cited.
How we use AI
Our newsroom is AI-assisted, and we want you to know what that means.
- AI drafts; checks decide. AI models draft issues. Factual sentences are broken into individual claims for checking.
- Automated checks first. Code checks quotes, numbers, dates and links against the sources.
- Two independent fact-checkers. Models from two different AI providers review each claim separately against the saved sources, without seeing each other’s verdict. A claim stays only if both find it supported. Otherwise it is rewritten or softened, and a claim still in dispute is cut.
- Approval gates. No issue sends until every required check passes, with approval tied to the exact final version.
- Originality. Drafts are checked against their sources so we summarize rather than copy, and keep quotations short.
AI can make mistakes. These checks do not make us infallible; our corrections process is part of the same promise.
Illustrations and labels
Recipe illustrations are labeled as illustrations, rather than presented as photographs of the dish. Our table artwork is an illustration, not a recipe to follow.
Sponsored content is labeled and kept visibly separate from editorial. Sponsors do not buy coverage or review editorial before it runs. Affiliate links are disclosed next to the link.
When something is wrong
We correct factual errors in the next issue and on the affected web version, with the date of the correction. Corrections are also listed on our corrections page. You can report a mistake through the LetterHouseMedia contact page.
